Hontas

Pocahontas and it will eat you.

That's the origin of the Hontas, a dragonishysorta creature with a great big mouth and really really long... uh... self.

Here he is from the side. Different, hunh?

There aren't too many details to talk about, but his mouth is "held together" by little sinewy things that cross it in different places. They're very stretchy, so they don't hinder his mouth at all.

And here's some information about him that I just typed up for someone:
He's very excitable, forgetful, and rather softhearted. He acts a lot like a puppy, though with a bit of a sense of how much more deadly he is. His favorite food is humans with cheese (who knows why). He's easily distracted by simple things, like butterflies or something shiny in the sand.

He lives in a (sandstone?) cave overlooking a long, secluded beach that's bordered by woodlands. I don't have a clear picture of it in my mind besides that his cave is relatively high up, but easy to get to via a pile of boulders in front of it or paths or something of that sort.

Since he's so long, he's often twisted or looping himself around something or just through the air (he can fly, despite his tiny wings). He can be very expressive given his huge eyes, mouth, and ears, though his tongue always makes him look adorably derpy if his mouth is closed. xD He has a tendency to roar when he's happy... though not always. He isn't the most coordinated beast out there, so his rear end often acts as if it has a mind of its own - if he stops too fast, he'll usually somersault by accident.

I drew this all the way back in August. It took me this long to scan since he's on two HUGE piece of paper - it took me four scans to get him all in and lots of photoshopping. In which case, please forgive the crappy seams in between the pages!
